6 daysThat's right, 6 more days until classes are done for the semester. Oddly enough I just finished another subject's assigned reading, leaving just one to go; it feel weird being ahead. It's kinda satisfying though I guess, knowing that now that I've got my energy back I'll be able to keep on top of things is something of a relief. So lately I've taken to playing Civ 4 again, giving RO a little break, just to make sure I keep my interst and all. Besides, it's a wicked game, I love the Civ! ^-^ I went shopping today for a little bit, got a nice new blazer thingy, and a nice headband. It was fun. While I was there, I stopped in at work and found out a won a prize as an incentive thing; a $52 Swiss Army knife. Pretty nice for selling 3 nailclipper-knives. :p It rocks. However, I have to work with Mak tommorow, who I do not like, and who just makes me bored and frustrated. *sigh* Oh well. I'm sure I'll be able to keep myself busy. Well, I'm trying to think of anything interesting to report, but I can't really. I haven't been doing much of real importance lately. Oh! I have read an amazing book, and am more enlightened for it. It's called Galileo's Daughter and is all about the trials and tribulations surrounding Galileo's various works and thier conflict with the church. The part about his daughter refers to one Galileo's two daughters who were nuns at a nearby convent. The eldest of the two was as scienfitically minded as he was, and they spent many hours writing to each other all through thier lives. She was even buried under him upon his death (though she died first) by a close friend, looking to honor Galileo as best he could. It was a really good read, and included many actual letters and pieces of writing from the various parties involved. Anyway. I think I've off to play some more Civ before I head to bed. Must continue to rest up and get rid of this sinus infection. 6 daysThat's right, 6 more days until classes are done for the semester. Still -40Yup, it's still 40 below here, and I'm still fucking cold. I am equally annoyed that my car wouldn't start this morning and my Mom was freaking. Especially since she was busy getting my sister's car ready because my sister is irresponsible and a twit. She does not deserve to own half of that car. My Mom should not be out there trying to defrost my sisters locks, and starting the car for her, because my sister won't get up. The only reason my Mom does it is because she doesn't want Kaitlin to get too many lates or she can't exempt and exam at finals.Next semester that will change, and I will be happy to gloat over my sister's stupidity. So after my Mom screamed at me that the car wouldn't start and I jumped out of bed and got ready becuase she needed helps. We got the car started with the booster thing, and that went well, but Mom was pissed anyway. Especially because she couldn't get the locks on Kaitlins cars thawed out and Kaitlin would have to crawl in through her trunk. Again. So I'm cold, and cranky, and not as hungry as I expected, maybe because I'm cold. I think I'm gonna put my jacket back on and play some RO while listening to my Arky prof. Monday, November 27, 2006
HOLY FUCK!IT'S COLD!That's right, I'm Canadain and bitching abotu the cold. It must be winter, and40 below. Well, it is, with the windchill right now and it's making me really cranky! Anyway, I'm at school right now despite my best efforts but I don't intend to stay for long. I'm not going to my film class today, the movie is a fairly popular one and I should be able to rent it. Might mean a trip to Casablanca video which is farther away, but I'll get it. So last night, I played with a Revolution (I cannot call it a Wii, not easily anyway). It was actually quiet fun, and I will pick one up when they become cheap, probably this summer, for the novelty factor. But I'm still on the PS3 camp as the king of all Next Gen consoles. I gave Andrew a run for his money in the bowling Wii sports game, and did quiet well in Tennis once I stopped doing relistic movements. I play tennis a bit, and used to o it wuiet frequently, so I kinda just fall into my patterns while playing and my wrist twisting and wind-ups really mess the poor thing up. I played Red Steel, and did quiet well, so long as I wasn't playing against Andrew :p Man, he kicked my ASS in that game. lol So there may be a Revolution in my future, I have to admit. It's not something I thought would happen, but here we are. I do know however, that it's more of a novelty for me, and that's why I'm going to wait for it to come down in cost considerably before I buy one. Until then, I will leach my giggles from various friends. I wonder if Andrew and I should set up a weekly bowling night with the game? lol Anyway, my battery is gonna die here, so I'll see ya all later. |
