Minimal response

Wow... like nobody has responded about the Adsense thing. I got one, "Give it a try" from Dave and that's it. Now mind you, most of the people who read this blog were busy last night or are currently swamped with work as we all get back into the swing of classes here. I'm definatly leaving the question open and out there for a little while yet to get some opinions.

*yawns* I hate mornings, I feel so gross in the morning. I just don't feel like I can function properly.

I finally got some news on my Arky readings today which makes me very happy. I need to go to the bookstore today and get myself a small notebook to take notes in while I'm at work. I can't take notes on my laptop while at work, but I think for Arky I will definatly need to take notes. Film I don't for sure, and I don't think so for History either. Soci I'm not sure yet, maybe later in the year but not now. So I just need one little mini notebook, somehting with a good solid cover :p

Anyway, I should be paying attention lol, see you all later.

Deep thoughts and contemplations

Well, it's been a really rough ride this past week. Something that has been eating at me for about a month has finally worn me down. I'm not going to go into details because I feel some of the people involved wouldn't like the issue posted here until it is resolved as much as possible but suffice to say; I am heartbroken and have invested as much time, energy and tears in this issue as I have in previous break-ups.

To clarify; I feel like I've been dumped. Really really hard, and really really badly.

Anyway, I'll post more details on that when I can; I have a feeling it'll be theraputic to post it here and get it all out of my system. Hopefully this will reach some resolution soon.

On another note, I've been mulling over the idea of adding the Adsense tool to my blog. The idea is that by displaying relavent ads, and having people click on them, the blog owner makes money (probably and unbelievably small amount). Now, here is the thing. If these ads really are relevent they could actually be a benifit to my readers (who are mainly people I know anyway...), however, the ads themselves could be super annoying...

So I am going to do something of a poll here as to whether or not people would be offended by me trying out the Adsense tool on the site for a while before commiting fully to having it on the site full time, or ditching it completely.

My basic idea is; I like money, my friends are pretty nice, some ads lead to cool things = Shannon has money to spend on cool things she sees in the ads as well as money to buy presents for her friends. However...

The downside; Ads can be annoying, I don't like to sell out, I don't want to piss off my readers = Shannon with a lot to consider, no money but still maintaining friends.

I'm sorry if that all doesn't make much sense, I'm really tired today. I spent a good 45 balling to James about my problems and despite going to bed early haven't quiet recovered from that or the other emotional episodes I've had over the last while.

On a lighter note! After my first full week of classes, I can say that I've managed to hold up pretty well despite problems getting backordered textbooks and finding places to rest during my breaks. My friends and I have taken to hanging out in the Dinning Center due to it's comfy chairs, general availability of seats and good food. It's definatly nice to have a comfy place to sit and post on my blog, read my textbooks or just goof off. The university seems so much busier this year than before, and it's kinda crazy. The place is starting to feel overcrowded. Mind you, at the start of the year the population is always higher than at the end, so it may taper off here over time. Either way, it's gotten hard to find seating in most buildings during breaks and with the unfortunate shortage of workers in our food services' division, the line-ups at all of the resturants and stores are getting longer and longer each day. It's kinda depressing.

Anyway, I'm gonna play some shockwave games while I wait for Dave to show up here. I was planning to read some of my Arky text that finally arrived but the proff hasn't posted any readings for us yet, despite saying she would. So I can't get started on that, and I didn't bring any other books. To be honest I'd love to take a nap right now, but I don't feel safe leaving my technological possessions so vulnerable like that.

I'll catch you all later, and hopefully I'll have recieved some commentary on the Adsense idea.

Film 200

Well we're watching LA Confidential in class today, for some reason I thought it was Citizen Kane today. Meh. It's awsome being able to watch moveis for credit lol. I love it. I have some snacks with me, and some MSN, and I'm set until 6. It's gonna be a long class for sure, but what can I say, it's to watch a movie.

Anyway, I've been really tired these days, school is making me tired, and so is work. I've been sleepin' a lot and haven't even touched my computer all weekend. It's kinda funny, I'm usually so addicted to my laptop that I can't go a day without it. I guess being exhausted can solve any addiction. *dies*

Anyway, I can't think of too much more to say other than I hope to get more energy soon. Talk to you all laters
