Poor puppy

So my puppy has liver damage. Her liver is functioning properly, but it's damaged and the the doctors have put her on a bunch of meds to see if that fixes it. If not they have to do a liver biopsy and figure out what it is specifically. She's on 4 different antibiotics now, one of which has to be taken twice a day. It's alot for one little puppy. I hope it all works out.

So tommorow is my test, I think I'll do alright, actually prolly pretty well. I'm taking the car tommorow, which will make it a lot less annoying; no transit.

Anyway, I'm tired, and I think I'm gonna veg for a bit before I go to bed.

*yawn* Is it bed time yet?

Well I've got the day off work today, and don't have class, so I've got the day to myself; a rare occurance. So what am I going to do with it? Study. Yes, that's right, I'll waste my limited free time studying. God damn spring course.

Oh well, I suppose it'll be worth it in the end.

So the reason I'm up so early (it's early for me, on a day off)is because my puppy has to be watched right now and my Mom is off for lunch with a friend. I suppose I should explain the whole story with my puppy.

Sasha has been in good health all her life, yet her teath are kinda dirty so the vet decided she needed to get them cleaned. Well, they have to put the dogs under to do it, and that ment a blood test to make sure she wasn't allergic or anything. Well the blood test came back saying her liver wasn't functioning properly. Of course tests are sometimes wrong, and it was only a general test, so she had to go to the vet today to do a more specific test. We need to keep an eye on her now becuase she has a habit of getting sick and feeling bad after getting blood tests. I hope she's o.k. Poor thing. Anyway, that's why I'm up right now, I'm watching her, making sure she doesn't puke on anything important.

Well I need to get off my butt and do some studying... or maybe make some food. I think studying for a little bit. Maybe if I do enough studying I can get together with James tonight or something. (Assuming he's up for it).

Oh wait, I need to bitch about yesterday at work! I had so much shit to do, I worked myself to exhaustion!

Josh and I had to set up the sale that was starting that day, and I'd done some preping the night before to help Josh who had to be there first thing in the morning. Well he kinda ignored all my prepping and redid all that stuff anyway, but whatever, he did a bunch before I got there. Unfortunatly, I still had to finish up a lot of it, and unpack a ton of stock (took 4 and a half hours to do) so I was rushing around at the end trying to get everything done. It was brutal. But I think I got everything done that really needed to be done. The boss hasn't called and yelled at me yet anyway. When I got home I was too tired to study, or play video games or do anything. It was ridiculous.

Anyway, I'm off now, gotta do the reading/studying thing.

Well! Adam is apparently DIEING for me to update this thing and I have to admit I've been neglecting this little corner of the web to some extent. So I'll fill everyone in on what's been happening in my life for the last bit.

I've spent most of my time at House of Knives. I'm getting about 30 hours a week there, and it's pretty nice. I know eventually I'll be bitter, but right now, I'm enjoying myself. When the boss goes home (which is generally 3 hours from close) I get to slack off, which usually means I do my reading for my spring course. The course is taking up most of the time I'm not working. I'm currently sitting in my class for it actually; the final is on Friday. It's been a pretty good course and it didn't suck up too much of my life so I think it was worth it. Gotta admit I'm looking towards a break though.

I spent a bunch of my weekend writing my essay for this course. It's pretty good I think. It's not actually due until Wed but I decided it was better to get it out of the way. So it's done and I'll hand it in later tonight.

Past that I've only done a little socializing in the past while. James had his 20th birthday, it went well and we all had a good time at the party/get together he held. I kinda had a mental crash in the middle but I came out of it in the end, so it all worked out. Other than that, I've just been seeing people at the Univeristy when I can and seeing James as often as possible. We're still slowly working through FF X-2, we kinda abandoned it for a bit, but now we're back.

I recently picked up a couple new games which I am looking to get into. I snagged the only English releases of the Atilier series (very famous in Japan and having quite a few games) Artilier Iris 1 and 2. The game revolves around alchemy and the ability to produce weapons and potions from what you collect in the feild. In general the main character is a female (normally the namesake of the game) but in this case the main character is a guy in the first one, and that same guy and a female friend are the mains in the second game. The name Isis does not appear as one of the character names, however, the game covers feature the same blue haired female that is not the character lists and thus could be the Irism of the title.

James heard that the game had alchemy and was all for it :p.

That's more or less how I've been spending my time; working, studying, and a little bit of socializing. I'm starting to feel the drain of having so much stuff going on, but other than that, all is well.

Oh, I got my drivers licence. I don't think I'd mentioned that before. It wasn't as big a deal as I thought it would be. It is nice to be able to take the car and just go places sometimes, but it's not like some rush of freedom or feeling of maturity. I just feel like I'm now going to be raped by the oil companies just like everybody else.

On Canada Day I'll be working all day, and I'm gonna make a killing thanks to Stat pay and a few other things. It's a nice boost to my paycheck to say the least. Oh, my first paycheck from HOK kinda got messed up. It was supposed to be mailed to the store last Tues, but it missed the mail bag and will be here tommorow. Then on Friday, I'll be getting my second paycheck via direct deposit. So I'll be getting paid twice in the same week, which will look very pretty in my bank account. ^-^

Speaking of money; I've been looking to pre-order a PS3 (yes, I know, really early) and so far the only place that seems to be is Toys R Us. That's a little alarming, and I don't trust thier company so I'm gonna hold out I think. EB won't be preording until October to reduce thier chances of overselling (kind of them, but I wish it were earlier). Maybe they can start like a sign up list for pre-orders or something? You toss your name on, and when they get the pre-order numbers, they start calling from the top of the list or something. I'm hoping that Future Shop or Best Buy start thier pre-order in like September or something. I'd like to get my hat in the ring a little earlier.

Hmm.. what else to say. Oh, Edmonton got thier ass handed to them in the cup finals. Idiots. Um... hmm. James and I still haven't really planned our trip to Seattle and should really get on that. Uh... I am once again consuing an unhealthy amount of pop... but that's pretty normal.

O.k. I think that works... I really can't think of much else to talk about.

So I guess I'll catch everyone later.

PS: My Ass would like to proclaim James as Prime Minister of My Ass. My Ass has found it neccesary to add another level of administration to help expeediate the process of taking over the word.
