Returns

Sorry for being off for a couple days there. I didn't actually go anywhere, but I didn't post for a bit. Anyway, time to catch you all up.

The 13th wasn't that eventful really, I got lots of stuff ready for Valentines Day, and that was about it. I wrote my Greek and Roman studies essay, and that was it. Yay, next day!

The 14th was VERY eventful. I'd cleared my schedule for the whole day. After my morning class I met James and Graham and thier group of Comp Sci friends outside my classroom. We talked for a bit and I was introduced to Breena, she's very nice. So we walked around the U running errands until we ran into Breena's boyfriend. He was very clingy, but sweet. He kept mouthing that she was beautiful to me, and put his hands behind her like wings to show that she was his angle. After that Graham and I met Sean at the University station and gave him a quick tour of campus before we headed to the Arcade and met Austin and Bryan. Eventually everyone else met us there and we all headed to the Den. It was so busy they'd opened up thier back confrence room type thing, so there were nice long table for ust there. And very few people had gone into the room so we weren't crowded at all. It was a blast. Sean and Austin once again really hit it off, they get along really well. I think Austin has found a new drinking budy in Sean, I just hope they're both responsible. Erica was there too! I hadn't seen her in months and she's so fun, she and I get along really well, it's funny cause we've only met a few times but we act like we've known each other a lot longer.

After the yummy lunch we all kinda split up, and Sean, Austin and James walked me to my class. Sean saw my lecture room and just swore lol. He's on a really small campus and I was in one of the biggest rooms on campus. Austin came to the class with me, he doesn't get time to go to Social Science classes so he sat in on Greek and Roman. He was still tipsy, which was appropriate considering we were looking at Dionysus. :p But he enjoyed himself and then we went our seperate ways. After my tutorial and hadning in my essay I raced home to get ready for Valentines!

I got home a half hour before James was supposed to be there. I managed to get myself ready mostly but was still eating dinner when he showed up for dessert. My family hadn't even eaten yet, and neither had James. lol. Anyway, we hung out downstairs till things were ready and then we ate chocolate waffles, chocolate sauce and whipped cream. Then James and I headed back to his place.

We had a really good time and watched the Unrated version of The 40 Year Old Virgin. We went and got his brother from work then went back to thier house to finish the movie and stuff. There was a bit of a bump when James kinda invited his brother to watch the movie and more or less gave his brother permission to kick us out of the basement. I was a bit pissy about that. I expected that would be the result, but not that James would basically make sure it happened. Oh well it worked out. We still had a blast after I calmed down, and got some food in me.

James loved his gift, he was surprised I got him the posted I did. I'm so glad he liked it. He got me a pillow in the shape of two overlapping hearts that says "Heart to Heart" on it. Not as thoughtful as his usual, but I think his Mom picked it out in advance or was there with him when he was looking for gifts. His Mom got me a shirt that says "Flirt" on it. James also got me some of those word magnets that you can use to make poems and stuff. I think I might put it in my locker anyway, even though some will prolly get lost.

It was the best Valentines day ever, James likes to add "so far".

Today has been pretty uneventful. After my late night I managed to haul myself to school and make it through my classes. Arky let out early so I got home early today. Yay! After lunch I took a nap, and since then I've been on here basically. I told Dave a couple days ago that I would be going to Gamers Guild tonight, but I've decided I need an extra day to study for my Anthro test on Fri. I have too much to ork on still to do it all tommorow. I called James, and I told Mike, so I didn't leave anyone hanging, but I still feel a little bad. :( Oh well, gotta do my schoolwork first.

Tommorow is gonna be interesting. My Phil class is being taught by my TA. Who's tutorial I JUST realized I forgot about today... shit. Oh well... anyway, my TA is a good teacher in the small group, we'll see how he does on the big group.

Friday is gonna be fun. I have to go in for my Anthro test, but that's it. My Arky class is cancelled. So I'm gonna be done at like 9:30! ^-^ And then it's READING BREAK! YAY! I have to check on how much work I have to do during the week, I don' think it's much so I will actually have time to socialize. I have so many tentative plans! It'll be fun. I plan to have at least one day where James' brother is gone to school that James and I just spend together. ALL DAY! lol. Some sometime after Monday I suppose. :p It'll be fun! Plus I need to hang out with Andrew, and Erin.

Anyway, I think that's enough yapping for now. I'm gonna get to work here for a bit. I'll talk to everyone later.

Cave

I feel good and bad at the same time. I discovered I had about 200 pages of reading this week for Poli Sci and decided it was too much. The whole course had been too heavy on the readings, that never got discussed in class, and appeared reandomly on the tests, lame lectures that made no sense and were so full of theory it felt like I was beating my head against the wall.

so I withdrew from the course. I feel good because it should be much less stress, and a lot more time to myself or to dedicate to the rest of my work, but I feel like I've failed. My parents look at it as me caving, not being able to live up to what I said I could, and now they're trying to make me get a job to use the time. So what should have been good, has become very bitter sweet.

Lets hope it all pans out.

Never ending...

To be honest I feel a little overwhelmed and hopeless. My life is a never ending series of readings, lectures and tests. I spend 7-8 hours a day reading, studying, stressing over my lastest grade or my lack of understanding of the lectures.

And I feel like I'm the only one. Well, accept for Rachel. She and I seem to be the only ones drowning in work, but even she seems to have more of a balance, probably because she lives in res and can just go say high to the people next door when she needs a break.

I don't know how I'm gonna keep going. Last semester wasn't this bad, and I'm told this will only get worse... I don't know how it can... I don't know how I'd survive if it did.
