Miyazaki-sama

O.k. So! Yesterday I did go out and buy movies. I bought Spirited Away, Naussicaa of the Valley of the Wind, and Grave of the Fireflies. I love them so much! ^-^ Studio Ghibli and Miyazaki-sama are my Gods!

James and I watched Naussicaa, Grave of the Fireflies and Castle In the Sky (Which I rented because I couldn't find a copy to buy) today, we had a blast. Grave of the Fireflies is so sad, I cried (again). James didn't but he was close lol.

Anyway, I've decided I want to own all of Miyazaki-Sama's work, and possibly everything by Studio Ghibli if I can. So far I have:

Princess Mononoke
Naussicaa of the Valley of the Wind
Grave of the Fireflies (Just Ghibli not Miyazaki-sama)
Spirited Away

Plus a slew of Pre-Ghibli work and some other stuff that I'm gonna have to download as it's TV spots, or other non-animated films. Like a thank you to John Lassater who works for Pixar and has been insturmental in getting Miyazaki's films released in America by Disney.

I'm not gonna have money for all this anytime soon, but oh well.

I also found a book "The French Fry Companion" lol. It's all about my fave food. I think I'm gonna make it a kinda lifes work to try french fries all over the world, all different kinds! ^-^ I'll become a connoisseur! lol I'm such a dork.

Awaiting in Arky

Well, I'm waiting for my Arky 201 course to start up here, I think we're watching a movie today, which should be awsome. heheh, I love these types of documentaries. I think it's a National Geographic, they're usually pretty good, though the old ones are really dated lol.

Anyway, I managed to get up and get my ass to class this morning, on transit though it was something of an adventure. When I woke up, Mom wasn't up. That like never happens. Apparently she forgot that I get up earlier Mon, Wed, Fri. :p Well, I got up, made my breakfast and everything and did get out the door. Got on the bus, which worked pretty well, though I think I'll have to catch an earlier one on Mon. I got to the station and had to let one of the trains go by before I managed to get a train with room for people. Which ment I kinda had to rush to get to my class. So I might catch an earlier one, just to allow for a little more time getting into Anthro.

Last night TCM was doing a tribute to Miyazaki, who if you don't know is a world reknowned Anime film writer and director. He is responsible for Studio Ghibli, and the masterworks Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away. Anyway, every Thursday TCM shows two films (sometimes 1 I think) back to back, and then follows with the subtitiled versions instead of the dubbed. It's inspired me to spend my Christmas money on Miyazaki films lol.

Also James came up with a plan to try and fix the forgetting, he's gonna carry a schedule, and hopefully it works. I'm just glad he's trying, that's all I really care about. We've made some tentative plans for Sat, and I just have to decide what we're doing. I've got some ideas.

Anyway, movie has started, gonna get to this. Laters.

Stressfull day

Well today should have been a good easy day. But of course it wasn't.

Ride in to school sucked, but not any more than ususal really. Classes in the morning weren't too bad. Lunch was supposed to be me meeting James for lunch. He didn't show. I met Bryan, and we went looking for him. Half hour later, we gave up searching Machall and waiting and went for lunch in the Den. Didn't get the book I was supposed to pick up then.

Got in touch with James around 2, he figured it out then. He appologised and said he felt bad. He showed up after my class, said the same things. I got my book, he walked me most of the way to the train. I wasn't feeling much like talking.

I know he's sorry, but I'm still hurt. What makes him forget? Is he really forgetting or is he just avoiding me? (He says it's the first, and I kinda believe him...) What can we do to fix it, or can we fix it at all?

Train ride home was packed, and as I'm still sick it was far to close quarters for my taste. I'm at home, looking forward to a disguesting amount of reading to do. Anyway, I gotta get cracking on that.

Signs of life

I appear to be regaining some strength. I was hungry today, like really hungry, not the "starved body needs fuel to fight cold" hungry, the "SHIT GIRL YOU HAVEN'T EATEN IN LIKE 2 DAYS! GET SOME MCDONALDS, STAT!" hungry. So I did! I feel good... and full.

I'm still sick and stuff, but I have more energy and strength. I bumped into James and he was surprised I seemed so well. I'm still worn out, I feel like I've been through a long hard day of school, not just two classes, but that's better than yesterday!

So anyway, I gotta get going on some reading I'm behind in, before I go and take a nap. :p Catch you all later!

Plauge!

I am still sick, but I went to class today. Made it through most of the day but crashed just after lunch. James babysat me until I went to my last class, and then I got a ride home. I skipped my tutorial flat out, I decided there was no way I would make it. I was dizzy and had a fever and all sorts of crazy shit.

I'm doing a little better now. Not as dizzy. Took a nap when I got home, and then ate dinner. I tried to do some reading for tommorow but it just didn't work. I have trouble focusing. I'm having trouble writing this, lol.

Anyway, I think that's my sign to leave. Going to class tommorow... getting rides to and from. Bye bye.

Back to School

Yup, I went back to class today, despite being sick still. It went pretty well. My courses should be interesting, and there are lots of people from Carroll in them. Tommorow is gonna be harder though. I have to be there from 9:30-4:30, which means taking a lot of cold medicine and bringing lots of pack of Kleenex etc. It's gonna be a bitch, but I gott go.

I got home from class today (about 12:30, got a ride, too sick to bus it) and went to bed until 5. Got up, ate and kept down dinner, layed about for a while, showered, ate more (tummy is feeling hungry now, not sick!), and am now relaxing.

Interview

It went really really well at the Rogers! They've got to interview some more people and then they're gonna start calling people back.

Sadly that's the only good news. I continued to get sick throuh out the day, and I've still got a nasty head cold on top of it all. I'm hoping this will all be done soon. I look like death and I just wanna die... uggg... so sick

I have Death

So ya, last night I went to bed early. I've been sick for a couple days and I figured I should rest up before going to my job interview. Well at 4am, Sasha (dog) wakes me up by throwing up on my bed. 3 times. So I have to stripe the sheets off my bed and toss them in the wash. So as I stood there wondering how fucked up my neck was gonna be from sleeping on the sofa, I realized I was fucking hungry. So I grabbed some Wheat Thins and ate 2. And puked. And continued to be sick for the next several hours off and on.

So I've been up since 4, with a job interview at 4 pm. This is gonna be interesting. I've managed to hold down some food now, but I still have the other cold symptoms to deal with. Hopefully I can keep this food down and take some cold medicine.

I've also gotta get some stuff together for the job interview, on top of the rest. I've just got to print a few things and stick them in the binder. *dies* and shower, and style hair (since I have a style! lol)

So I guess I should run and choke down some medicine, and maybe eat a little more food... then print things... lol
